On behalf of all committee members of the 9th ISAM Annual Scientific meeting, we welcome you all to Egypt the land of civilization, peace and heritage.
Since of the first meeting in 1999 our annual meeting focused on the diagnosis, management & research in the domain of addiction medicine .

The theme of our meeting this year focuses on topics that attract national interest and have International resonance.
The Transcultural perspective of Drug use management has recently gained much attention. How different cultures view and deal with drugs and alcohol use, the vast array of trends (including traditional healing), practiced by different ethos will be the focus of some presentations and discussions.
Importantly, are the outreach services which are currently considered cornerstone for community-based treatment and rehabilitation of drug users and their families.
Our meeting will also touch on the pressing importance of Education and Skills acquisition on drug use problem management which we plan to initiate with International collaboration.
We will also stand on the most recent and future trends on management medical, pharmaceutical and behavioral of drug use problems.
The ISAM's 9th Annual Scientific Meeting will be under the auspices of their Excellencies the Egyptian Ministers of "Health & Population" and "High Education". This will undoubtedly booster the position of ISAM not only in Egypt but regionally as well.
